In preparation and solidarity for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) held a Lay Coordinator’s Assembly on March 10, Saturday, 8 AM at the 6th floor of St. Benedict Building, Quiapo Church. Resource speakers namely James Arthur B. Jimenez (Director IV, Education and Information Department, Commission on Elections), Atty. Rene V. Sarmiento (PPCRV National Chairman) and AMB. Henrietta T. De Villa (PPCRV Chairman Emeritus) updated substantial details such as do’s and dont’s of PPCRV volunteers and proper behavior of both voters and candidates. It is also stated that PPCRV have rights to instruct voters regarding their needs most specially to the persons with disability (PWD) and senior citizens towards a fruitful election which is for the common good.
It is hoped to every voter seeing a candidate having a ‘good reputation, full of Spirit and Wisdom’ (Acts 6:3) to serve God and His people.
